John P. Ryan

WATERBURY - John P. Ryan, 91, passed away Tuesday, January 25, 2022 at River Glen Health Care Center in Southbury. He was the husband of Lorraine (Bessette) Ryan.

Mr. Ryan was born June 4, 1930 in Waterbury, son of the late Harry J. and Ann (Tenney) Ryan. He was retired from SNET, where he worked as a telephone serviceman for over 40 years.

In addition to his wife of 67 years, Mr. Ryan leaves behind his daughters, Kathleen Ryan Gannon, Kim Ryan Hapken, Karen Ryan Brooks, and his son, Keith J Ryan. He will also be missed by his 3 sons-in-law, 10 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his sister, Mary Ryan Clark. John was an active life member of Waterbury B.P.O.Elks # 265 and VFW Oakville Post 7330.

Arrangements: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, February 4, 2022, at 10:00 A.M. at the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception, 74 West Main St., Waterbury. Family and friends are asked to meet directly at church. Burial will follow in All Saints Cemetery, Waterbury. There are no calling hours and the Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Waterbury, 496 Chase Avenue, is assisting with arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Waterbury Elks # 265, PO Box 615, Waterbury CT 06720-0615.
