It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of John Louis Marone, who left us on June 23, 2025, at the age of 71. Born on September 30, 1953, in Waterbury, CT to the late Louis Carmen and Antoinette Emily (Stanco) Marone, John was a beloved lifelong resident of Cheshire.
A proud 1972 graduate of Cheshire High School, he dedicated 50 years of his life working as an X-Ray Technician at Pratt & Whitney at multiple locations, where he formed lasting friendships and contributed to the community.
Family and friends were always John’s top priority, and his warmth and kindness touched everyone who knew him. He loved spending time with his sisters, Susan St. Jernquist (Robert) and Louise Marone (Paul), and his brother, Philip Marone (Cheryl), along with his nieces and grandniece, Dana, Gina, Julianna, Lauren, Jillian, Emily, and Elle.
John had a penchant for adventure, frequently traveling to Florida and taking great pride in maintaining the family swimming pool. An avid sports fan, John cheered passionately for the Boston Red Sox, the New England Patriots and the Boston Bruins. He also had a special place in his heart for UConn Huskies basketball, often seen at games, showcasing his loyalty and enthusiasm for his teams.
Details of the funeral services will be announced at a later date, inviting all who knew and loved John to come together to honor his memory and the joy he brought to so many. The Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Cheshire 615 South Main Street has care of arrangements.
