Janet D. Ireland

NAUGATUCK — Janet D. Ireland, 82, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 24, 2026, at Beacon Brook Health Center.

Janet was born March 27, 1943, in Livermore Falls, ME, daughter of the late Wilfred and Madeleine (Poisson) Bilodeau. Raised in Manchester, CT, she was a proud graduate of the Manchester High School Class of 1961. Shortly after graduation, Janet answered the call to serve her country, enlisting in the U.S. Navy, a period of her life she remembered with great pride.

A long-time resident of Naugatuck, Janet’s legacy lives on through her family, who will remember her strength and the ways she cared for those she loved.

She is survived by her daughters, Kelly Healy and her husband, William, and Jennifer Kosko and her husband, Timothy, her grandchildren, Charles Healy and his wife Allison, Shannon Healy, Emma Healy, Lily Kosko, Nathan Kosko, and Sarah Galloway. Janet was predeceased by her beloved son, Scott Galloway.

Arrangements – Funeral services and burial will be held at the convenience of the family, and there are no calling hours. The Buckmiller Ford Mengacci Funeral Home, Naugatuck, is assisting the family with arrangements.
