Janet B. Edmond

Janet B. Edmond, age 91, of Cheshire entered into rest on Wednesday, April 17, 2024 at Complete Care of Meriden after a brief illness.  Janet was born on April 3, 1933 in the Village of Rockville Centre, New York.   She was the daughter of the late Leonard and Gladys (Vermilyea) Edmond.  Janet was a graduate of Crosby High School in Waterbury on June 22, 1951. She then attended Yale University in New Haven and received her degree in nursing from Yale University.  She worked as a psychiatric nurse for most of her career and was employed at Connecticut Valley Hospital in Middletown.  Janet later worked for the State of Connecticut until her retirement.

 Janet will be remembered for her high-spirited and energetic personality and will be missed by her many friends throughout Cheshire.

 A graveside service for Janet will be held on Monday, April 22, 2024 at 12:00 p.m. noon in St. Bridget Cemetery, Higgins Road, Cheshire.  The Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Cheshire is assisting with her arrangements.  To leave online condolences or to share a memory of Janet, please visit www.fordfh.com
