Imogene Fay Hendry

CHESHIRE, CT — Imogene Fay Hendry, 91, passed away peacefully at home on March 24, 2026. Born April 7, 1934, in Poca, WV, she was a proud "coal miner’s daughter" and a Mayflower descendant. A devoted homemaker known as “Granny,” she was the resilient heart of her family.

She is survived by her half-sister, Katherine Casto; her children: Megan Kingsley, Jason Hendry, and Jonathan Hendry; three grandchildren: Daniel Kingsley, Kyla Fay Voide, and Ryan Hendry; and two great-grandchildren: Sophia Voide and Griffyn Kingsley. She was predeceased by her husband of 62 years, William Hendry; her first husband, Earl Graves; and their infant daughter, Shirley Jean Graves.

A Private Service for Mrs. Hendry will be held at the Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Cheshire. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family and there are no calling hours.
