PROSPECT - Althea D. Hubbell, 89, passed away on Thursday, October 16, 2014, at Waterbury Hospital with family by her side.
Born in Waterbury, on July 12, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Myrtle (Allen) Davis, she was a lifelong Prospect resident
Althea was predeceased by her husband Harold Hubbell and her brother Irving Davis. Mrs. Hubbell is survived by a son, Harold W. Hubbell, and his wife, Alice; a daughter, The Rev. Doreen Horstman, and her husband, John; beloved grandson, Dustin Hubbell; several nieces and nephews; and beloved great-niece, Laci Davis.
A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, October 21, at Beacon Falls Congregational Church, 69 Wolfe Avenue, Beacon Falls. Burial will follow in Prospect Cemetery, Prospect. Calling hours will be held on Monday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Buckmiller Thurston Mengacci Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Avenue, Naugatuck.
