CHESHIRE — Henry J. Grauer, 85, of Cheshire, passed away peacefully on January 13, 2026, at The Summit at Plantsville.
Henry was born on June 30, 1940, in Yonkers, New York, the son of the late Henry and Mary (Downer) Grauer. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force, a commitment to service that remained a defining part of his life.
Following his military service, Henry built a successful career at NASDAQ. While he took pride in his professional accomplishments, his most fulfilling work began after retirement, when he became a dedicated advocate for Veterans in the state of Florida. His passion for supporting fellow service members reflected his deep sense of duty and gratitude for those who served.
Henry leaves behind his daughter, Pamela Guglielmino; her husband, Scott; his grandchildren, Trevor, Owen, Molly, and Jake as well as his extended family, Gail Grauer, Paige Taylor, Sean Grauer and his dear cousin, Estelle Breckles.
He was predeceased by his son, David; his parents, Henry and Mary; his brother, Kevin, and his nephews Shea and Beau.

In a private ceremony, Henry will be laid to rest at St. Peter’s Cemetery in Cheshire. Arrangements have been entrusted to Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Cheshire.
