Helen M. Gordon

Helen “Pinkie” M. Gordon, 92, of Cheshire, passed away peacefully at St. Mary’s Hospital on November 8, 2025. She was born on August 27, 1933 to the late Helen and John Mitchell.

Helen spent many years loving her times at the Yacht Club. She was an avid movie watcher from the 1930’s to present day, she loved the BBC series Downton Abbey and the culminating movie. She loved Sci-Fi, Disney Movies, Classics, Horror Movies and your occasional Comedy. She loved to go out for lunch to Vespucci’s Restaurant with friends and family and always asked for her favorite waitress, Camille. She also loved to cook all kinds of foods.

Helen leaves behind her cousins, Debbie Soleski-Cerilli (Richard), Nicole Cerilli-Papadopoulos (Alex), Sophia, Zoe, Kristin Cerilli-Zanjani, Bryton and Lyla; almost son-in-law, Craig Douglas and Gail; and dear friends, Dora Morin, Vinnie and Anthony Morin and Eddie Morin.

She was predeceased by the loves of her life, William “Bill” Douglas her devoted companion of 35 years, and NOT to be forgotten her fur babies, Princess and Jolie. Also predeceasing her were her uncles, Edward Soleski (Helen) “Uncle Edmund to Helen was her favorite”, Bruno, Vincent, Henry and Tony; aunts, Bertha, Francis and Gladys; and cousins, Sonny, Irene, Joyce and Dearie.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, November 19, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Bridget of Sweden Church, 175 Main St., Cheshire, CT. Everyone is asked to meet directly at church. Burial will follow at St. Bridget Cemetery, Higgins Rd., Cheshire, CT. Memorial Contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
