Oakville, CT The world has lost an extraordinary man. Garibaldi “Gary” Guarino, died of natural causes and was of sound mind.
Born to Giulia (Ciarlelli) and Carmen Antonio Guarino in 1953, Mr. Guarino was accomplished and recognized in the barber/beauty industry as an educator and authority of hair and scalp care. His product knowledge led many to seek his advice.
A true Renaissance man, Mr. Guarino was an inventor, an entrepreneur, an oenophile, a chef, a screenwriter and engaged in product development. He lived life to its fullest and enjoyed theatre, travel, music and animals. He was a wine and tobacco aficionado. Both brilliant and creative, his sense of humor and generosity guaranteed him lifelong friends.
Gary is survived by his brother and sister in law, Joseph and Susan Guarino of Naugatuck, CT; his sister and brother in law, Liz-Beth Kennard and George Kennard of Anthem, AZ; his nephew, Adam Joseph Guarino; his nieces, Kristin Joyce Darnell and Jennifer Lynne Kennard and his great nephew, Keegan Darnell.
Calling hours will be held Monday, November 6, 2023 from 9:00am to 10:15am at the Buckmiller Thurston Mengacci Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Avenue, Naugatuck.
