Gilbert "Gil" Rimer

WATERBURY – Gilbert “Gil” Rimer, 93, passed away August 3, 2019 at VITAS as St. Mary’s Hopsital. He was the husband of Frances (Johnson) Rimer.
Gil was born June 3, 1926, in Waterbury the son of the late Harry and Anne (Kawler) Rimer. He was a lifelong Waterbury resident, educated in local schools, obtaining his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from UCONN in 1958. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Airforce.
Besides his wife of 67 years, Gil is survived by his son Alec Rimer of Waterbury.
Arrangements – A graveside service will be held on Tuesday August 6, 2019 at 2:30 pm at Hebrew Benefit Cemetery, Stillson Rd., Waterbury. Memorial contributions may be made to Chabad of Northwest CT, P.O. Box 127, Litchfield, CT 06759-0127 or to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675-8517. The Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Waterbury, 496 Chase Ave. is assisting with arrangements.
