Georgianna J. Schupp

Georgianna Johnston Schupp of Cheshire, CT died on December 12, 2025, age 99. She was born on August 15, 1926 in Cranford, NJ to George Henry Johnston and Clarissa Johnson Johnston. Having most of her education in Randallstown and Catonsville, MD, she graduated from high school in Port Chester, NY in 1943.

At age 16 she worked as a model in New York City and was also an usher at the Paramount Theater. In 1944, with World War II still being fought, she moved to Washington, D.C. to work for Army Intelligence on a classified assignment, later revealed as being a code breaker.

She married her husband Ralph J. Schupp, a Marine Corps veteran, on April 28, 1947. They were married for 74 years until his death in 2021.

Georgianna and her family moved to Cheshire, CT in 1958 where she was a Charter Member of the Cheshire Lutheran Church and active in The Woman’s Club and the Suburban Garden Club.

She is survived by her two sons, Ralph Jr. and his wife Grace, and Bradford and his wife Ann. She is also survived by three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held in Nelson Hall at Elim Park Place, 150 Cook Hill Road in Cheshire, CT on December 29, 2025 at 10:00am.
