George Andrew Lamont III

George Andrew Lamont III, 48, of Cheshire, formerly of Bethany, passed away peacefully at his home in Cheshire, CT on April 18, 2026. George was born on November 15, 1977, in New Haven, CT, to George and Helene Lamont, Jr.

George Andrew Lamont III was a proud arborist, tree climber, and logger who brought dedication, strength, and integrity to his work each day. He proudly worked at Arbor Services of CT whom he considered his family. He carried an incredible work ethic and took deep pride in the quality of every job he completed, earning the respect of those who worked alongside him.

Outside of work, George was an adventurous spirit. He was an avid skateboarder and snowboarder who found joy in pushing limits, especially in bowl and vert skating, where he felt most alive. He dreamed of the freedom of the open road on a motorcycle and was always drawn to experiences that offered both perseverance and meaning.

George had an eclectic taste in music and a natural ear for sound. Self-taught on both the drums and guitar, he had a rare ability to hear a song and recreate it within minutes, a reflection of both his talent and passion.

He lived simply, needing little, but embracing life fully, especially when it brought him outdoors and close to nature. George was deeply devoted to his family, maintaining a close and caring relationship with his parents and always looking out for their well-being.

At home, he was a loving partner and a steady, guiding presence to his partner’s two sons, whom he embraced wholeheartedly. Through his actions, he helped shape their character, instilling in them the values of diligence, humility, and strength.

George will be remembered as an honest, humble man, a man of his word, whose presence left a lasting impact on all who knew and loved him. He was the kind of person people felt an instant connection with, often through his storytelling, whether he was holding a chainsaw, chewing tobacco, or enjoying a cup of coffee. It was never a surprise to see a skateboard resting in the back of his truck, a reflection of his adventurous spirit and the life he lived so fully.

In addition to his parents, George Andrew II and Helene Lamont, George leaves behind his partner, Rocio Stasi and her two sons, Roman and Olivier Stasi. He was predeceased by his grandparents, George A. Lamont Sr., Ruth Beecher Lamont, Frank Guliuzza Sr. and Helen Guliuzza; and his uncle, Frank David Guliuzza Jr.

A private memorial dinner for George will be held for family and friends, with burial services scheduled at a later date. His memory will live on in the stories, laughter, and love he shared.
