Waterbury, CT    Gary A. LaRowe, 61, died peacefully on November 4, 2025 at his home surrounded by his loving family.

Gary was born August 1, 1964 in Derby, CT son of the late Gary and Rosemarie (Dorosh) LaRowe. Gary graduated from Shelton High School and immediately after graduation Gary proudly served for 4 years in the U.S. Marine Corps. Gary worked for many years as an eyelet toolmaker, most recently at Anomatic Corporation in Naugatuck.

Gary had many hobbies, which included going to a Yankee game with his sons or friends, he was a Yankee fan through and through. In recent years, his fiancé Nicole and Gary reached their dream of owning kayaks and finding new places to go to achieve peace and serenity. His “step-dog” Rocky and he were inseparable, always taking walks together after a long 3rd shift. Also, there were plenty of road trips with Nicole to visit family in other states, making beautiful memories with thanks to a 12 step recovery program that showed Gary and Nicole an amazing life of redemption, perseverance and true happiness.

Gary is survived by his sons, Shawn LaRowe, Ryan LaRowe and Tyler LaRowe all of Naugatuck; his brother and sister in law, John and Carolee LaRowe of Tennessee; his sister, Bonnie LaRowe of Virginia; his mother, Carolyn LaRowe of Florida; his fiancé, Nicole Sheldon of Waterbury, CT and his former wife and mother of his children, Kimberly LaRowe.

Family and friends will gather to honor and celebrate Gary’s life on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, from 10:00am to 12:00pm at the Buckmiller Ford Mengacci Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Avenue, Naugatuck. Burial with Military Honors will follow at 2:00pm at the CT Veterans Cemetery, Bow Lane, Middletown, CT. In lieu of flowers and to honor Gary’s memory, donations are requested to www.gofundme.com/f/support-gary-nicole-during-hospice-care.
