Gaetana "Gae" Marie
Adams
Nov 25, 1943 — Aug 5, 2026
Cheshire, Connecticut
Gaetana Marie “Gae” Adams, age 82 of Cheshire, entered into rest on Wednesday August 5, 2026 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was the devoted wife of Anthony E. “Tony” Adams for over 60 years. Gaetana was born on November 25, 1943 in New Haven, daughter of the late Luigi and Anna (Valenti) Casabona.
Gae was raised in New Haven and later lived in West Haven before she and her husband, Tony, settled in Cheshire to raise their family. With a sharp business sense and strong work ethic, she proudly started her business, eventually expanding it throughout the eastern United States.
Gae and Tony cherished simple pleasures, especially leisurely strolls along the West Haven boardwalk and gathering the family together every Sunday for dinner. Her Sicilian heritage shined through in every meal, and her homemade eggplant Parmesan and veal cutlets were legendary, bringing loved ones around the table to share laughter, stories, and traditions.
A devoted animal lover, Gae shared a special bond with her beloved German Shepherd, Buddy, who was her faithful companion through the years. Whether keeping her company at home or by her side during quiet moments, Buddy's loyal presence brought her great comfort and joy.
Proudly serving as the family's rock and matriarch, Gae was a steady source of strength, wisdom, and unconditional love. She always had a listening ear, thoughtful advice, and a comforting presence for anyone in need. Her unwavering devotion to her family and her generous spirit will be remembered and cherished by all who were fortunate enough to know her.
In addition to her husband Tony, Gae leaves her loving children, Anthony E. Adams Jr. of Cheshire; David Adams and his husband, Julian Garcia of Cheshire; Renée Pepe and her husband, Thomas of West Haven; and Dawn Marie Burton and her husband, Ernest of West Haven. She also leaves her cherished grandchildren, Kristin, Michael and Joseph Burton, Taylor Pepe and Gianna Marie Adams; and her great-grands whom she adored, Jordan, Sophia, Yomaira, Ari’ana, Nariyah and Giovanni; her beloved niece, Jaime Simmons and her husband, Matthew of Meriden. She was predeceased by her brother, Louie Casabona.
Services for Gae will be private and at the convenience of her family. Memorial contributions may be made to Saint Jude Children’s Research Hospital 262 Danny Thomas Place Memphis, TN 38105 (www.stjude.org/give). The Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Cheshire is assisting with her arrangements.
