Frederick H. Waldo

Naugatuck - Frederick H. Waldo, 96, husband of the late Martha Waldo, passed away peacefully on July 20, 2026. Born on February 15, 1930, Fred was the son of the late Ralph and Marion (Veile) Waldo.

Fred was a proud United States Navy Veteran, serving 20 years followed by 10 years in the Reserves. He met his wife, Martha, while they were both honorably serving their country. 

Fred is survived by his children, Richard Waldo (Linda), Peter Waldo (Carol Dupont-Roy) and Joy Veale (Thomas); his grandchildren, Travis Waldo, Cory Waldo, Erin Veale (Stanley Gryken), Patrick Veale (Ashley) and Molly Veale (Dave); his great grandchildren, Sadie, Stan, Jr., Jack, Jaxson, Vincenzo, and Stella; his nephews, David and Tim Carlyle; and brother-in-law, James Henderson. He was predeceased by his siblings, Charlotte Carlyle and Richard Waldo. 

Funeral services and burial will be private. There are no calling hours and arrangements have been entrusted to the Buckmiller Ford Mengacci Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Avenue, Naugatuck.
