Venancia Franco

Prospect, CT Venancia G. Franco, the widow of George F. Franco, died peacefully on Saturday, June 24, 2017.

Mrs. Franco was born in Brawley, CA the daughter of the late Eulilio and Erminia Garcia; she lived in Prospect for the past 41 years and was a proud United States Marine Corps Veteran.

She was beloved by all who met her. She enjoyed her many hobbies of cake decorating, ceramics, cooking and gardening where she would give some of her harvest to friends, doctors and nurses. Most of all, she enjoyed taking care of the flora and fauna in her backyard, making sure there was enough to eat especially during the coldest of winter. Mrs. Franco is survived by her daughter, Tina Franco; her sons, David Franco and Steven Franco; her brother, Cipriano Garcia, her sister, Lupe Rodrigues and her amusing pets.
