Francis Nichols

New Haven - Francis Nichols, 86, passed away on Wednesday, January 19, 2022, at Yale-New Haven Hospital, St. Raphael Campus.

Mr. Nichols was born August 29, 1935, in New Bedford, MA, the son of the late Alton and Euphemia (McDonald) Nichols. He was a longtime New Haven resident.

Mr. Nichols is survived by his son Rodney Nichols of Terryville; his daughters Robin Nichols Bier of Orange and Sheryl Nichols Christman of Pottstown, PA; his sisters Barbara Hendricks of New Bedford, MA; Dawn Duane Smith of New Bedford, MA; his step-children Debbie Froeberg of North Haven, Tom Shea of Whitefish, Montana, and Lynda Williams of Sanford NC; his friend Sandra, as well as many Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his sisters Lois Fucci and Muriel Boyd; his brothers Ed and Oliver Nichols; and his step-child Kenneth Shea.

Arrangements – Funeral services and committal will be held at the convenience of the family and there are no calling hours. Memorial contributions may be made to an organization of the donor’s choice.
