Frances Rimer

WATERBURY- Frances Rimer, 88, passed away Friday, February 5, 2021 at the Glendale Center in Naugatuck. She was the widow of Gilbert Rimer who predeceased her in 2019 after 67 years of marriage.

Mrs. Rimer was born March 9, 1932 in New Haven, daughter of the late Alex and Catherine (Goldstone) Johnson.

Frances was a Medical Transcriptionist at St. Mary’s Hospital until her retirement in 1997.

She is survived by her son Alec A. Rimer of Waterbury; and several nieces and nephews. Frances was predeceased by her son Howard M. Rimer, three brothers, and two sisters.

A graveside service for Mrs. Rimer will be held 1 P.M, Monday, February 8, 2021 at Hebrew Benefit Cemetery, Stillson Rd, Waterbury, 06705. The Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Waterbury, 496 Chase Ave, 06704 is assisting the family with the arrangements.
