1922 - 2021

Naugatuck, CT Loretta “Lora” (Montarulo) Fazzino, 99, has joined her loved ones on August 6, 2021. Loretta was the widow of Frank P. Fazzino and the only child of Michael and Carmella Montarulo.

Loretta was born in Hastings on the Hudson, NY on June 10, 1922 and she resided in Naugatuck since her marriage to Frank. Loretta was a very active person, retiring from Uniroyal Footwear and working in retail for many years. Her favorite job was at the Waterbury Hospital gift shop, where she made many lasting friendships.

Loretta leaves to cherish her memory her 3 children, Linda (Fazzino) Sabio and her husband Jim Sabio, Joanne (Fazzino) Rossi and her husband David Rossi and Frank P. Fazzino, Jr. and his wife Debbie Fazzino; her seven grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Loretta was predeceased by her sisters in law, brothers in law and an infant grandson.

Loretta’s family would like to thank her caregivers, especially Dana and Maddie. Her Weid Drive friends, especially Ceil and Jim who always sat on her porch with her and made her very happy! To the Elim Park staff in Cheshire, for the love and compassionate care for the past seven months. You will always hold a special place in our hearts.

Per Loretta’s request, all services will be private and are entrusted to the Buckmiller Thurston Mengacci Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Avenue, Naugatuck. In lieu of flowers and to honor Loretta’s memory, donation to fight Duchene Muscular Dystrophy are requested to JB’s Keys to DMD at DMD, Inc., P.O. Box 446, Dover, MA 02030.
