Enrich Hugo Ritter

Erich Hugo Ritter of Naugatuck passed away at his home on Thursday, April 9, 2026. He was 82 years old.

Mr. Ritter was born June 4, 1943, in Wetter, Germany, son of the late Wilhelm and Irmgard (Leise) Ritter. A mechanic and electrician by trade, Mr. Ritter was well known for readily lending his skills to help his friends and loved ones.

Mr. Ritter is the husband of Renate Ritter (Mohri), his childhood sweetheart, whom he was married to for 60 years. He and his wife immigrated to the United States in 1969, initially living in Seymour and Ansonia, before settling in Naugatuck in the mid 1970s.

Besides his wife, Mr. Ritter is survived by his children Marcus Ritter (wife Courtney) and Stephanie Radlinski (husband Christopher); his grandchildren Jacob Radlinski, Allyson Ritter, Micah Ritter, and Mia Radlinski.

Funeral services and committal will be held at the convenience of the family and there are no calling hours.
