Naugatuck, CT – Ellen L. Granoth, 71, of Naugatuck, passed away unexpectedly on March 5, 2026, at St. Mary’s Hospital.
Ellen was born on June 28, 1954, in Winsted, CT, to the late Edward and Ruth Euglow. She was the beloved wife of Robert J. Granoth, Jr. for 51 years.

Ellen was known and loved by so many of her “adopted” kids as Mom and Grandma, often spending many hours on the sidelines cheering for her grandchildren and their teams in hockey, baseball, softball, football, basketball, and lacrosse, and loving on many horses at barrel races. She was known for her witty comments, her straightforward pep talks, and could often be heard yelling at the refs from the bleachers. She also enjoyed traveling with her husband Bob to many places, including Alaska, Texas, Las Vegas, and all over New England, spending quality time together and visiting lighthouses.
Besides her husband, Ellen leaves her son Michael Granoth (Rebecca McCray) of Milford and daughter Robyn Medina of Watertown. She also leaves her grandchildren, Aidan, Sabina, Joselyn, Madelyn, and Max, whom she adored and loved with all she had.
She also leaves several nieces and nephews and was predeceased by her brothers Edward Euglow Jr., Russell Euglow, Carlton Euglow, Ronnie Euglow, and John Euglow.
