Eileen Rupsis

Eileen P. (Stokes) Rupsis, 84, of Beacon Falls, Connecticut, passed away on June 7, 2026. She was born in 1941 in New Jersey to the late William and Olive Stokes.

Eileen was the wife of the late David Rupsis. She grew up in the Naugatuck Valley alongside her sisters, Marianne and Patricia, and spent her adult life in Beacon Falls, where she became deeply connected to the Rupsis family and the local community.

Known for her quiet strength, unwavering loyalty, and steadfast support of those she loved, Eileen was a devoted family matriarch. She remained strongly tied to her Naugatuck roots, where she was one of the founders of the Harvest Moon Festival and was very proactive in organizing and promoting her Naugatuck High School reunions. She found joy in simple moments and took great pride in nurturing close-knit bonds across generations.

She was predeceased by her husband, David; her sisters, Marianne and Patricia; and many other cherished loved ones from both the Stokes and Rupsis families.

Eileen is survived by her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and a large extended family who will carry forward her legacy of love and resilience.

The family would like to thank River Glen Health Care Center for providing end-of-life care for Eileen.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on July 31, 2026, at 11 am at Saint Michael Roman Catholic Church in Beacon Falls. Friends are asked to meet directly at church. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family, and there are no calling hours. The Buckmiller Ford Mengacci Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.
