Donna Ward

Donna Marie Ward, 63, of Naugatuck, CT, beloved wife of 42 years to Garry Allen Ward, passed away on May 23, 2026. Donna was born on January 29, 1963, in New Britain, CT the daughter of the late James Bouchard and Peggy Charette of Maine.

She graduated from Crosby High School in 1981. Garry and Donna met when she was 15, living just around the corner from each other in Waterbury, CT. On January 21, 1979, they became official. Five years later on April 20th, 1984, in Columbus, Ohio they got married and spent the next 42 years growing and building a life together full of love and laughter. They spent time traveling, visiting family and friends and occasionally getting into trouble. Donna loved to spend time outdoors in the hot summer sun and going on vacation with her family. Donna enjoyed watching old western movies and TV shows, scrapbooking the family’s old photographs and snacking on Reese’s peanut butter cups.

In addition to her husband, Garry, Donna leaves behind her children, Brittney and Garry; her sister, Susan Ward and her husband Tommy of Monroe, CT; her brother, Troy Bouchard and his wife Pamela of Brunswick, Ohio; her youngest sister, Debra Gonzalez and her husband Andre of Greenville, South Carolina; along with many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her father, James Bouchard and mother Peggy Charette; best friend and sister-in-law, Sherry Ward; father-in-law, Richard Ward and mother-in-law Florence Ward.

Donna did not wish to have a service. Instead, the family requests that you share your stories and memories of Donna throughout the years.
