Dolores (Sutton) Gandarillas, 102, of Bristol formerly of Beacon Falls, passed away Thursday, September 29, 2022 at Bristol Hospital. She was the loving wife of the late Charles Peter Gandarillas.

Mrs. Gandarillas was born April 20, 1920 in Beacon Falls, daughter of the late Russell Sutton and Hilda (DuBois) Sutton Wersig. She lived in Beacon Falls most of her life. She retired from Timex as an accounts payable clerk. Previously she worked in the Laurel Ledge cafeteria and for Manpower in various locations. She assisted with both Girl Scouts and Cub Scouts. She was past president of the American Legion Post #25 Auxiliary, Laurel Ledge PTA, and the Beacon Falls Senior Center. She was a member and past treasurer of the Naugatuck Women's Club and was a charter member of the Naugatuck Dance Troupe. She enjoyed playing golf into her 80's, loved dancing and was an avid walker who walked 4 miles a day. She also enjoyed playing Scrabble and Words with Friends daily on her iPad and computer and loved having the Sunday "feasts" with her family. 

Dolores leaves her three children, Donna Mazzeo of Venice, FL, Terry DeMarco and her husband Randal of Phoenix, AZ, and Charles Gandarillas and his wife Carol of Wolcott,  five grandsons Craig DeMarco and his wife Kris of Phoenix, AZ, Brian DeMarco of Los Angeles, CA, Kurt Gandarillas of Wolcott, Todd Cole and his wife Paula of Hamilton, NJ and Keith Gandarillas and his wife Jennifer of Terryville, five great grandsons, Chaz and AJ DeMarco of Phoenix, Ethan and Benjamin Cole of Hamilton, NJ and Cody Gandarillas of Terryville, three great granddaughters, Hailey Gandarillas of Terryville, Samantha Gandarillas of Wolcott and Penelope Cole of Hamilton, NJ, her sister-in-law Louise Bradley and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister Blanche LaBelle.

The family would like to thank the compassionate people at Shady Oaks Assisted Living for all their continuous love and support. Words cannot express our gratitude.

Family and Friends may gather at the Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Naugatuck 201 Meadow Street on Sunday October 2, 2022 from 12;00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Burial will be held privately.
