Naugatuck, CT Mary L. Doback, 96, widow of Andrew Doback, died peacefully on July 2, 2021 at her home.

Mary was born February 17, 1925 in Providence, RI a daughter of the late Frank and Mary (Perry) Sousa. Mary lived in Naugatuck most of her life where she was a parishioner of St. Francis of Assisi Church. Mary retired from the footwear division of Uniroyal, Inc. where she worked as a supervisor. Mary was a member of the Naugatuck Historical Society and the Roaring 20’s Car Club.

Mary is survived by her son, Andrew Doback and his girlfriend, Lisa Psillas; her grandson, Ryan Mazurkivich; her great grandson, Arlo Mazurkivich; her sister and brother in law, Dorothy and Edward Manzi; her brother in law, Joseph Borsos and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and her parents, Mary was predeceased by her daughters, Barbara Mazurkivich and MaryAnn Doback.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday at 9:30am at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 318 Church Street, Naugatuck. Everyone attending is kindly asked to please meet at church. Burial will follow in St. James Cemetery, Cross Street, Naugatuck. Calling hours are Tuesday from 5:00 to 7:00pm at the Buckmiller Thurston Mengacci Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Avenue, Naugatuck.
