Naugatuck-Maria da Conceicao da Costa Picado do Roque, 84, passed away of natural causes on Sunday, November 17, 2013 at Skyview Center in Wallingford. She was the wife of the late Amadeu do Roque.
Mrs. Roque was born on April 1, 1929 in Aveiro, Portugal a daughter of the late Rita da Costa and Americo Carvalho Picado. She worked for Uniroyal Inc. in Naugatuck for many years before working for Waterbury Hospital where she retired from.
Mrs. Roque is survived by her son, Joseph Roque and his wife Lorrie of Bethlehem, her daughter, Maria Joao Roque of Naugatuck, two sisters, Maria Moniz, and Maria Rodrigues both of Naugatuck, two grandsons, Adam and Kyle Roque, several nieces and nephews in the US as well as Portugal.
The funeral will be held on Thursday, November 21, 2013 at 9:15 a.m. from the Buckmiller Brothers Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Ave, Naugatuck to Our Lady of Fatima Church in Waterbury for a mass at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be in St. James Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday evening from 5-7 p.m.
