Donna Dietz

Naugatuck-Donna (Gabani) Dietz, 54, passed away on Monday, June 16, 2014 after a long courageous battle with cancer. She was the wife of Dirk Dietz.

Donna was born on January 14, 1960 in Waterbury a daughter of the late Emo and Elizabeth (Caulfield) Gabani. She worked as a paraprofessional at Naugatuck High School for many years, but her first priority was being a Wife and Mom to her loving family.

Besides her loving husband Dirk, she is also survived by her three daughters, Mary, Amy and Lori Dietz, one sister, Kathleen Demers and her husband Joseph, and one brother, James Gabani and his wife Elaine.

The family would like to thank her Nurse Nan at the Harold Leever Cancer Center and the Yale Smilow Center for all the care and compassion they gave Donna during this difficult time.

The funeral will be held on Friday, June 20, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 318 Church Street, Naugatuck. Friends are asked to meet directly at the church. Burial will be in St. James Cemetery. Friends may call at the Buckmiller Brothers Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Ave, Naugatuck on Thursday evening from 5-7 p.m.
