Deborah Lynn Amaral

Naugatuck – Deborah Lynn Amaral, 65, passed away on Sunday, May 25, 2025, after a short and very brave battle with cancer at St. Mary's Hospital. She was the wife of the late Mario “Teddy” Amaral for over 32 years.

Deborah was born August 19, 1959, in Waterbury, CT, the daughter of the late Thomas and Florence (Violette) Cordon Sr. and the sister of the late Craig Cordon. She was raised in Bethany, CT, and graduated from Eli Whitney in Hamden. She also graduated from Post University and pursued an advanced education in Administrative Healthcare from Stone School of Business and additional education from Porter & Chester.

She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, as well as hosting BBQs and picnics at their home. Deb had a vivacious appetite for reading and good movies. She had a soft-spot for the dogs she knew. She especially loved her “grand-doggies” Minnie, Daisy, and Ruby. Deb will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

She was extraordinarily witty and maintained her sense of humor up to the end. She loved a great joke and great stories. Deb had the most generous of hearts, always worrying about others first.

Deb was a very loyal, dedicated, and hard worker. She worked at Vital Network Services of Naugatuck, CT, for 17 years. She then worked for Family Care Visiting Nurse LLC, in Stratford, CT, for the last 23 years.

She is survived by her brother Thomas and Jean Cordon of Bethany, CT, Uncle Jack Violette Sr of Oakville, CT, God Daughter Melissa and Allen Miller of Dayton Ohio, Brother-in-Law Paul and Cindy Amaral of Southington, CT, Brother-in-law, Antonio Amaral of Portugal and Mother-in-law, Gracinda Amaral and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
