Danielle Melissa Couture, age 43, of Beacon Falls, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, November 4, 2026, at Waterbury Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved fiancée of Ian Sanders and the devoted mother of Fiona Joy, Danylyn, and Kyren Sanders.

Danielle was born on February 9, 1983, in Waterbury, the daughter of Mark S. Couture and the late Noela B. (Koslosky) Couture.

Danielle grew up in Beacon Falls and graduated from Seymour High School, Class of 2002. She went on to earn her Bachelor's degree from Western Connecticut State University in 2007. At the time of her passing, she was employed as a Project Manager and Property Assessor for Newfield Construction in Hartford.

Throughout her life, Danielle had a passion for softball and played competitively in numerous leagues. Affectionately known as “Gooter” by many, she was fiercely competitive, endlessly creative, and incredibly handy, always ready to take on a project around the house. She also had a green thumb and found great joy in gardening.

Danielle had a special gift for lighting up every room she entered. Her greatest accomplishment and deepest joy in life was becoming a mother. Her children, along with her beloved nieces and nephews, meant absolutely everything to her. Whether celebrating a holiday or simply gathering with those she loved, Danielle made every occasion memorable.

She was a compassionate soul with a deep love for animals, a quality she inherited from her mother, as reflected in the many beloved pets she welcomed into her life. Her faith was also an important part of her life, and she shared a strong personal relationship with God.

In addition to her fiancé, Ian, and her children, Fiona, Danylyn, and Kyren, Danielle leaves behind her father, Mark Couture of Beacon Falls; her sisters, Heather Rozum and her husband, Timothy, of Oxford, and Kristin O'Dea and her husband, Steven, of Beacon Falls; and her brother, Kyle Couture and his wife, Melanie, of Naugatuck.

She will also be deeply missed by her cherished nieces and nephews, who lovingly called her “Auntie Goot”: Ethan, Sadie, Colton, Finley, Eva, Scarlett, Arielle, Van, Jude, Declan, Archer, Calla, Lincoln, and J.J.

Danielle also leaves Ian's parents, George and Diana Sanders; Ian's siblings, Karly and her husband, Tony, Mallory and her husband, Kyle, and Addie and her husband, Greg; along with many treasured friends and colleagues.

Friends may greet Danielle's family on Monday, November 9, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Buckmiller Ford Mengacci Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Avenue, Naugatuck, CT 06770.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 10, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 350 Millville Avenue, Naugatuck, please meet directly at church. Interment will follow at Grove Cemetery, Cross Street, Naugatuck.
