Daniel H. Zentek, 74, a lifelong resident of Cheshire, beloved husband of Susan Zentek, passed away peacefully on September 8, 2026 after a long illness. Daniel was born on November 21, 1951 in Southington to the late Frank and Lyda Zentek.

Daniel was a 1970 graduate of Cheshire High School and furthered his education at the Culinary Institute of N.H. Daniel and Susan were married October 16, 1976 and they would have celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary this year. His career as a leadman spanned 45 years at Pratt & Whitney. He was an avid motorcycle rider who loved spending his free time riding his Harley with his wife. Daniel was extremely proud of his sons Chris and Bryan, both of whom served in the military. He greatly enjoyed attending all their sports games when they were younger, including football, baseball and track. Daniel also enjoyed traveling. He especially loved vacationing with his family in his favorite place, the Turks and Caicos Islands.

In addition to his wife, Susan, Daniel leaves behind his sons, Christopher Zentek and Bryan Zentek; grandson, Jack Zentek; brother, Arthur Zentek; sister-in-law, Nancy Hermanns; brother-in-law, Karl Hermanns; and nieces, Ashley Genest and JoAnna Thomson. Daniel was predeceased by his parents, Frank and Lyda; brother, Stephen Zentek; and sister, Carol Ross.
