WATERBURY; Chris Steven DeLeo, 65, of Waterbury passed away on Sunday July 10, 2022 at the Vitas Inpatient Hospice Unit at Saint Mary's Hospital after a brief illness.
Chris was born on December 8, 1956 in Waterbury a son of the late John and Josephine (Lombardo) DeLeo and was a lifelong Waterbury resident. He was a graduate of Wilby High School and was a self-employed painter and had also worked at Southbury Training School. Chris was a communicant of the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception.
Left to honor his memory is his daughter Lauren DeLeo of Wolcott; brothers John DeLeo (Patricia); Robert DeLeo (Celeste) and Richard DeLeo; sisters Janice Schneider (Andrew) and Cathy McKenna (Gary); his grandchildren Marciano and Malina Altieri. He also leaves his sister-in-law Ruth DeLeo and his brother-in-law William Scarpati as well as many nieces and nephews. Chris was predeceased by his brother Paul DeLeo and his sister Phyllis Scarpati.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday July 15, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception 74 West Main Street in Waterbury. Friends are asked to meet directly at church. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. There are no calling hours. The Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Waterbury 496 Chase Avenue has care of arrangements.
