Obituary

Charles “Chuck” Patrick Baldino, 45, beloved father, fiancé, son, uncle and friend passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 22, 2026, at his home in Glastonbury, CT. The son of Charles Baldino, Sr. and Linda Racine, he grew up in Derby and Ansonia, CT.

Chuck was the eldest of seven siblings whom he spoke of often. He treasured the time he spent with his grandparents, Hermann and Inge Szalek and credited them a lot for the wonderful man he became. He had many different jobs through his life and had endless stories, especially with Bob installing pools. Finally, he fell into trucking to provide for his family. With a CDL in hand, he became a highly skilled OTR truck driver. He would be away for multiple weeks during the month but his motivation was always with his children. He was so proud to be a role model of integrity for Justin, loved tinkering on cars with Nina and cheering Alana on when she needed extra encouragement. Chuck and his fiancée, Beth, had planned their future together and were very excited about becoming Opa and Oma to Chuck’s first grandchild, Nilah Ann, arriving in December.

Chuck was an old school gentleman, loyal, charismatic, and passionate about family, friends and his beliefs. He was authentically true to himself, a free spirit, full of life, intelligent and had an unending supply of jokes. Chuck had the biggest sweetest heart but was also the person you want beside you in a bar fight. He loved his animals, riding his Harley “Nadine”, fishing in streams for trout, welding and working with his tools. Chuck would enjoy talking to strangers and gained knowledge with every interaction. He was always eager to help others.

Chuck is survived by his son, Justin Gamble; his daughters, Alana and Nina Baldino; his fiancée, Beth Ann Gayeski; father and stepmother, Charles and Ellen Baldino, Sr.; siblings, Jason, Christina, Angela, Rebecca Baldino, Angelika Racine; mother, Linda Racine; cousin, Tracy Lee Young Nelson; and eight nieces and five nephews. He was predeceased by his loving wife, Kelly Gamble Baldino; his sister, Ashley Baldino; and longtime friend, Robert “Bob” Buker.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 2, 2026 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Buckmiller Ford Mengacci Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Ave., Naugatuck, CT. A Memorial Service will take place at 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
