Beacon Falls, CT – Pasqua Maria “Lee” Catanzaro, 89, widow of Sebastian Ben Catanzaro, died peacefully on May 25, 2023 at Griffin Hospital.
Pasqua was born October 5, 1933 in Liberty, NY a daughter of the late Joseph and Maria Salerno. Pasqua graduated from Liberty high School and she formerly worked as an insurance adjuster for Allstate Insurance.
She loved spending time with her family. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, going to the beach, and reading. She became a sports fan later in life adopting the NY Mets as her baseball team, she rekindled her interest in hockey with the NY Rangers all after Italy won the World Cup in ’06.
Pasqua is survived by her son, Ben Catanzaro of Beacon Falls, CT; her sister, Marie Catanzaro of Valley Stream, NY; her nephew and godson, Leonard J. Catanzaro (Kim) of South Orange, NJ; her niece, Mela Catanzaro-Schlereth (David) of Naples, FL; her nephew, Joseph Catanzaro (Francesca) of Naples, FL; her nephew, Leonard V. Catanzaro of Elgin, SC and her niece, Marisa Catanzaro (Eric) of The Woodlands, TX. As well as all of her grandnieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, June 5, 2023 at 11:00am at St. Michael’s Church, 25 Maple Avenue, Beacon Falls. Burial will follow in St. James Cemetery. Naugatuck. Visitation will be Monday, June 5, 2023 from 9:00 to 10:15am at the Buckmiller Thurston Mengacci Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Avenue, Naugatuck.
