West Haven - Carol Ann Adam, 87, passed away on Saturday, May 17, 2025, at Yale New Haven Hospital.
Mrs. Adam was born June 19, 1937, in Bridgeport, the daughter of the late Milton Buckley and Ruth (Schultz) Coletti, she was the stepdaughter to Eileen Buckley. She started her career at Sears Robuck, then worked at Dictaphone before raising her children. She then spent 17 years at Yale University working in Collections.
She deeply enjoyed traveling with her son Paul to Gettysburg and Virginia, where they visited historic cemeteries and explored significant battlefields and taking rides along the shoreline. In her early years, she enjoyed dancing at the Ritz in Bridgeport, taking her two dogs to Seaside Park and as a Yankee fan; she was quite fond of Mickey Mantle. She also enjoyed listening to live Jazz music.
She is survived by her sons Andrew Paul Adam (Andres) of West Haven, Michael Damu (Christine) of Easton; her daughter Laurie Adam Boudreau (John) of Cheshire; several grandchildren and grandpups; as well as her siblings John Coletti, Jimmy Coletti and Toni Archer. In addition to her parents, Carol was predeceased by her brothers Frederick Buckley, Tom Coletti, and Ronald Squibbs.
Arrangements—A graveside service will be held on Friday, May 23, 2025, at 11:00 AM at St. James Cemetery, Naugatuck. The Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Cheshire is assisting with the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, the family would like that donations or supplies be brought to your local animal shelter.
