Naugatuck, CT James C. Brickett, 68, of Naugatuck, the husband of Dorothy (Connelly) Brickett, passed away peacefully in his sleep after a brief illness.
James was born the son of the late Clarence and Helen (Zick) Brickett and grew up in
Oxford, CT. He retired from Northeast Utilities and he was a U.S. Army veteran, having been stationed in Germany. James enjoyed hunting, fishing, NASCAR, football and working on late model cars.
Besides his wife, he leaves his stepson, Keith Connelly of Rocky Hill; his sisters, Mary Bailey and Mae Halloran, both of Arizona, his brothers in law, Edward Dilley and Edward Pudim and sister in law, Mary Pudim; several cousins, nieces, nephews, grand niece and grand nephews. His beloved friends, Gary and Marg Knapik, Thomas Seese, The Fayad family, Janet Oczkowski and Bea Hassenfeldt. In addition to his parents, James was predeceased by his brother, Clarence Brickett and his sister, Elizabeth Dilley.
Interment will be in the CT State Veterans Cemetery in Middletown. All services are private and there are no calling hours. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Buckmiller Thurston Mengacci Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Avenue, Naugatuck.
