Barbara Ann Marie Rohlman, 63, passed away on September 13, 2026 following a courageous fight with cancer. Barbara was born on January 18, 1963, in Bridgeport, CT, to Fern Landry and the late Edward Rohlman.

To cherish her spirit, Barbara leaves behind her mother, Fern Landry; brother, Edward (Darlene) Rohlman; grandson, Samuel Martinez; daughter, Jessica Giles; nieces, Dana (Samantha) Wilcox, Nicole Rohlman (Erica), Jenna Rohlman, and Brianna Woodworth; and nephew, Justin Setlock. In addition to her father, Barbara was predeceased by her sister, Dawn Rohlman. Barbara also leaves behind several of her friends whom she adored, especially those close to her at the Polish American Club.

Barbara lived many special adventures during her short lifetime and held many careers before landing at the United States Post Office for over 24 years. She was a hard worker and loved by all of her customers who would often stop to chat before sending off their mail. She loved spending time with her family and friends including watching movies with her mom, going out for a meal, and hanging out and playing cards at the Polish American Club. She was a proud dog mom to her furbabies, Roxy and Star. She loved music, especially Elvis Presley. The Rocky Horror Picture Show was also one of her favorites, which she was recently able to see live on Broadway in NYC. She enjoyed traveling and treasured the trips she got to experience in her last years, especially to Graceland and the Outer Banks with her family. She will be remembered for always giving a helping hand, creating an accepting and loving space, and her relentless encouragement to stay true to who you are.

Barbara was larger than life and lived fearlessly and authentically. Her family will miss her vibrant presence in so many ways, especially her laughter and affectionate hugs and kisses. In Barbara’s own words - she loved to laugh and surround herself with real genuine, kind, and loving people. She lived her life fully, and with, as she would say, “no drama here”.

Her family would like to thank the staff at AccentCare Hospice and Waterbury Hospital for the care and comfort they provided to Barbara. We would also like to extend a heartfelt thank you to her friends who spent their time checking in and visiting Barbara as well.

Arrangements – In honor of Barbara’s wishes, a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
