Barbara Gaudio

Barbara Marcil Gaudio was born on February 28, 1942 in Cromwell, CT. She passed on May 19, 2025 with family by her side. She was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother and friend who was also soon to be a great grandmother. She was married to Ed and they were together for 67 years. There has never been two people more made for each other. They were quite the team. Barbara helped Ed coach Cheshire Youth baseball when their son, David played and she was the best “horse grandma” when her daughter rode. She was an incredible cook, baker and a very talented decorator. The home that she designed (and Ed built) was featured in Better Homes and Gardens and the waterbury republican. Barbara loved her family. She enjoyed spending time in Disney World with her grandchildren and at the lake house. Some of her fondest memories are Christmas with her family on Patton Drive in the house that her father built.

Barbara was a member of the Cheshire Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary and helped organize many bingo games, Christmas parties, and Easter egg hunts as well as pot luck suppers when Ed was Captain. She also volunteered at St. Bridget’s School in the library and the lunch room where she was fondly known as “the lunch lady.” She worked with the Romaniks to bring Bishop Farms back to Cheshire, was a buyer and office manager.

Along with her husband, Barbara leaves behind her sister, Bonnie Germond (husband Bill), Her son David (fiancé Jamie) Gaudio and Sandra (husband Jon) Lauria; five grandchildren, Kaitlyn (husband Anthony) Crawford, Michael Lauria, Nathaniel Gaudio, John Gaudio, and Anthony Lauria; as well as extended family and friends. She will always be loved and remembered as NiNi.

Memorial contributions may be made to: Perfect Imperfections Rescue, 15 Dunrobin Lane, Watertown, CT 06795.
