Anthony D'Aurio

CHESHIRE - Anthony “Tony” D’Aurio, 62 years old, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on July 31, 2020.

He was born in New York on November 1, 1957 the son of the late Frank D’Aurio and Josephine DeLuca D’Aurio. He attended Pace University and graduated from Hofstra University with a degree in Accounting; He earned his CPA and a Master’s in Taxation and was a licensed Financial Advisor. He opened his own Accounting and Financial Advising Office in 1987 in Middlefield CT. Tony was very active in his church, a Deacon at the White Oak Baptist church in Cheshire, CT, where his heart and spirit in Christ shined in his fellowship and leadership. He was a talented musician playing both the guitar and piano. He used these talents as well to draw people to Christ by being a longstanding member of the church’s music fellowship. He had a rare gift of being able to reach out to people and draw them in with his beautiful smile and overly generous soul.

Tony loved traveling and did so extensively with family, visiting counties and cities all over the world. Family was always number one in his life. He was a phenomenal cook and loved to host family gatherings at his home, especially for holidays. Tony also enjoyed cycling, golfing, swimming and listening to music.

Tony is survived by his devoted wife of 34 years, Gina Gubitosi-D’Aurio, his loving children Ariana C. D’Aurio and Anthony Z. D’Aurio, his beloved twin sister Jean Howard, and his two brothers Frank D’Aurio and John D’Aurio. He was a cherished Uncle to his many nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of his life and Memorial outdoor service will be held Sat August 15th, 3:00 pm, at Rick’s “Barn”, 1446 Whirlwind Hill Road, Wallingford, CT. While seating will be provided, we ask attendees to bring their own chairs for the lawn. Social distancing will be observed. Parking is limited so we ask that attendees consider carpooling, possibly from White Oak or from Gina and Tony’s house. The service will be “Live Streamed” on FB and a “Zoom” link will be provided as well. A private reception will follow the service for immediate family at Gina and Tony’s home.

Memorial contributions may be made in Tony's name to the Bethesda Evangelical Mission https://www.bemhaiti.org/donate.html. The Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Cheshire is assisting with arrangements.
