Obituary

Anne S. Tellefsen, 87, loving wife of the late Lloyd A. Tellefsen, passed away peacefully on October 3, 2026 in Connecticut with her daughter and son-in-law by her side.

Anne was born on June 28, 1939 in Grimstad, Norway, to the late Gjeruld and Edith Boe. Anne immigrated to the US as a very young adult and started working as a nanny. She settled in Brooklyn, NY and eventually started working as a bank teller in Manhattan. She enjoyed being part of the large Norwegian community in Brooklyn. Anne’s greatest love was her husband, Lloyd, whom she married in 1975. He was originally from Staten Island, and they settled there. She had her only child, Lillian, and became a stay-at-home mom. When Lillian started school, Anne began working part-time at Eger Nursing Home - a career that spanned nearly three decades. She retired in 2012 when Lloyd became sick.

Together, Anne and Lloyd shared a wonderful life filled with cruises, weekends in upstate NY and cherished trips to Norway. In her later years, her greatest joy was her grandchildren, who brought her endless love and happiness. Anne will always be remembered for her devotion to her family and her love of Norway. She enjoyed reading her hometown newspaper, doing Norwegian crossword puzzles, talking on the phone with her girlfriends and enjoying time on her iPad.

Anne leaves behind her daughter, Lillian Tellefsen, and her husband, David Godwin; her cherished grandchildren, Lila and Kari Godwin; as well as extended family and friends. She was predeceased by her husband, Lloyd, and brother, Ole Boe.

In keeping with Anne’s wishes, she was buried privately in Connecticut.
