Anne Cecelia
Stratton
July 7, 1978 – April 6, 2026
With heavy hearts, we announce that Anne Cecelia Stratton, of Cheshire, CT, passed away peacefully on April 6, 2026. Born on July 7, 1978, in New Haven, CT, Anne spent her life uplifting those around her with her kindness, intelligence, and unwavering spirit.
A proud graduate of Cheshire High School, Anne went on to earn her Bachelor of Science degree with a dual major in Accounting and Computer Science from Quinnipiac University’s School of Business. She graduated summa cum laude, receiving the Alumni Association Award for Academic Excellence. For over 25 years, Anne was a dedicated, highly respected, and deeply valued employee of IBM.
Anne was not only an accomplished professional, but also a devout member of Saint Bridget of Sweden Parish in Cheshire, where she found great joy in her faith and community. Those who knew her will remember her warmth, infectious laughter, and the deep love she shared with her family and friends.
Anne is survived by her loving parents, Francis and Mary (Sammon) Stratton; her devoted brother and sister-in-law, Joseph and Catriona Stratton; her beloved sister, Mary Stratton; and her cherished nephew and niece, John and Maggie (Goddaughter) Stratton, all of Cheshire, CT. She will also be deeply missed by her loyal companions, Toby and Teddy, her faithful dogs who were always by her side. Anne is also lovingly remembered by her many aunts, uncles, cousins, as well as dear friends and colleagues.
She was predeceased by her maternal grandparents, Daniel and Anne Sammon; her paternal grandparents, Joseph and Cecelia Stratton; her uncles Joseph, Philip, Patrick, Anthony, and Oliver Stratton, Jim McGuinness, and Liam Forde; her aunts Maura McGuinness, Anne Beirne, and Bridget Stratton; and her cousins Joseph Stratton, Michael Torello, Richard Bailey, and Meghan Stratton.
Anne always placed family at the center of her life and treasured annual vacations in upstate New York. An avid reader, she was a trusted advisor and confidant to many. She also loved playing cards and board games, especially with John and Maggie.
The family extends heartfelt thanks to Dr. Rodrigues, Karen, Becky, and Denise, whose care and support made it possible for Anne to remain at home, as she wished.
Anne’s family will celebrate her life privately with a Mass of Christian Burial at Saint Bridget of Sweden Church. Committal services will follow at Saint Bridget Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating in Anne’s memory to one of the following:
