Alfred A. Carrington Jr.

Naugatuck - Alfred A. Carrington Jr., 90, passed away on Sunday, June 16, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of the late Ann Carrington.

Mr. Carrington was born September 8, 1933, in Waterbury, the son of the late Alfred and Helen (Whalen) Carrington Sr. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy and owned a diner on Beacon St. in Boston. A resident of Naugatuck, he owned and operated Carrington Auto Sales and later worked at Loehmann-Blasius Chevrolet. He enjoyed spending time with his family and adored his grandchildren.

Mr. Carrington is survived by his daughters Nancy Sardo and Dr. Sallie Carrington and her husband Michael Proulx, as well as his grandchildren Rebecca Proulx and her husband Virakchey Chhung, and Marissa Proulx.

Arrangements – Funeral service with military honors were held privately in Grove Cemetery. The Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Naugatuck is assisting with arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to the Harold Leever Regional Cancer Center, 1075 Chase Parkway, Waterbury, CT 06708.
