Cheshire – Wilbur E. Clark, 97, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, August 25, 2016. Mr. Clark is survived by his beloved wife of 68 years, Jane Walsh Clark.

Mr. Clark was born October 18, 1918, in New Haven, a son of the late Wilbur A. and Elizabeth (Barry) Clark. Bill was a graduate of St. Francis School in New Haven, East Haven High School, and The University of New Haven. A U.S. Army veteran of World War II, he spent 4 ½ years on active duty and 7 years in the Reserves. He served in the China Burma India Theater with the Corps of Engineers for 2 years. He retired as a Captain in April, 1953.

In 1981 Bill retired from Blue Cross/Blue Shield, was Director of Sales and Marketing. Prior to BC/BS he was Assistant Treasurer for Coco Cola Company.

In addition to his wife Jane, Bill is survived by his four children, Stephen E. (Andrea) Clark of Medway, Ma., William T. (Debra) Clark of Cheshire, Mark J. (Cathy) Clark of Virginia, and Sharon M. (Nicholas) Gaeta of Georgetown Ma. He also leaves seven grandchildren, Julia, Timothy, and Brenden of Springfield, Ryan and Dylan of Cheshire, and Sara and Nicholas of Georgetown. He will also be missed by many nieces and nephews.

Arrangements – The funeral for Mr. Clark will leave The Alderson-Ford Funeral Home, 615 South Main St., Cheshire at 9:15 a.m., Monday, August 29, 2016 for 10:00 a.m. services at St. Bridget Church, 175 Main St., Cheshire. Burial, with full military honors, will follow at All Saints Cemetery, 700 Middletown Ave., North Haven. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday, August 28, 2016, from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m.
