Warren W. Raynor, age 87, longtime Cheshire resident went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday November 25, 2015 at his home with his loving family at his side. He was the devoted husband of his wife Helen S. Dougherty Raynor for over 55 years. He was born April 1, 1928 in New Haven, the son of the late Kenneth Robert Raynor and Rena Scott Raynor.

Warren attended Hamden High School and Hopkins School in New Haven. He graduated from Yale University in 1951 where he was the center field starter for the baseball team. He served in the US Army post graduation as a Romanian translator. Warren had a long career at SNET. When he retired in 1989 after 34 years he was the president of Sonecor Systems. Warren worked and played baseball in Kennebunkport, Maine during college. Yearly family vacations there yielded great memories.

He is the beloved father of Hugh Larson and his wife, Barbara of Bethany; Silah L. Larson of Cheshire; and Nancy L. Rubino and her husband, Guy of Southbury. Warren is survived by his cherished grandchildren, Bobby Rubino of Phoenix, AZ; Joel Rubino of N.Y., N.Y. ; and Kenny Rubino of Medford, MA. He was predeceased by his brothers, Kenneth R. Raynor and Gordon Raynor.

Warren and his family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to the entire staff at the MidState Oncology Center for their loving care.

A Celebration of Life for Warren will be held on Sunday, December 6, 2015 at 2PM at the First Congregational Church of Cheshire, 111 Church Drive Cheshire, CT 06410. The Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Cheshire has been entrusted with his arrangements. At the request of his family, memorial contributions may be made to MidState Oncology Center, 435 Lewis Avenue, Meriden, CT 06451.
