Vincent Budris

FRANKLIN, WV- Mr. Vincent John Budris, 86, of Franklin, West Virginia, formally of Cheshire, passed away Tuesday evening, March 6, 2012 at his home.

He was born March 25, 1925 in Bethlehem, Connecticut and was the son of the late John and Teckla Budris.

He was a farmer and carpenter, and had worked as a millwright for Allegheny Ludlum in Wallingford, retiring in 1986. He and his wife, Shirley Lacey Budris, whom he married June 2, 1951, moved to Franklin, WV in 1986 where he restored the Priest Mill which was placed on the National Historic Registry. Vincent was a man of immense talent and was generous with his time and skills. He was always willing to lend a kind hand. Family was most important to him and every family member has their own fond memories that they will carry in their hearts. He was a loyal fan of all college sports, especially "his" UCONN women's basketball.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children Beth O'Connor and her husband, Richard, of Brookfield and Christopher Budris and his wife, Michelle, of Cheshire. He is also survived by his sister Jean Majoros. Vincent was the proud grandfather of Kathryn, Patrick and Kevin O'Connor and Kaitlyn, Kristina and Hunter Budris. He will be sorely missed by many nieces, nephews and friends.

He was preceded in death by three brothers, Charles, John and Anthony and three sisters, Ann Lyskowski, Mary Panilitis and Anela Mosavich.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 - 6:00 PM Sunday, March 11, 2012 at the Alderson Funeral Home of Cheshire, 615 South Main Street, 06410.
