CHESHIRE- Victor Joseph Coppa Jr., 84 passed away, Monday, July 23, 2018 at Yale New Haven Hospital. He was predeceased by his wife Fortuna Tina (Esposito) Coppa in 2013 after 56 years of marriage.
Mr. Coppa was born November 14, 1933 in San Anselmo, CA son of the late Victor Joseph Sr., and Elise M. (Allen) Coppa.
Victor was a veteran proudly serving in the United States Navy during the Korean War. He was an Industrial Service Engineer at T.F.I in East Haven prior to his retirement.
He is survived by his son Joe Coppa of Cheshire; his two daughters Mary Coppa of Hamden, and Vicky and her husband Brian Hien of Narragansett, RI; and his two grandsons Michael and Alexander Burrows.
Arrangements- A Mass of Christian Burial for Mr. Coppa will be held 11 A.M, Monday, July 30, 2018 at St. Thomas Becket Church, 435 North Brooksvale Rd, Cheshire, 06410. Friends are asked to meet directly at church. Burial will follow in St. Bridget Cemetery, and there are no calling hours. The Alderson-Ford Funeral home of Cheshire, 615 South Main St, 06410, is assisting the family with the arrangements. Donations in Victor’s name can be made to the Scleroderma Foundation, 300 Rosewood Drive, Suite 105, Danvers, MA 01923.
