Thomas J. "Red" Dolan
NAUGATUCK – Thomas J. “Red” Dolan Jr., 95, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 19, 2021 at Beacon Brook Health Center in Naugatuck. He was the husband of the late Ruth Ann Dolan.
Mr. Dolan was born October 15, 1926, in Waterbury, son of the late Thomas and Margaret (McDermott) Dolan. He fought in the battle of Okinawa during WWII, for which he received a Battle Star. He was a retired composing room foreman, with over 35 years of service, from the New Haven Register. Mr. Dolan was an avid Red Sox fan and golfer, scoring four holes-in-one over the years.
Mr. Dolan is survived by his son, Thomas Dolan, and his fiancé, Betsy Walsh, of Minnesota, as well as his nephews, Louis and Thomas Schiller. In addition to his wife, Mr. Dolan was recently predeceased by his sister, Mary Schiller.
Arrangements – Funeral services and visitation for Mr. Dolan will be held at a later date. The Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Naugatuck is assisting with arrangements.
