Thomas J. Lawlor

NAUGATUCK- Mr. Thomas J. Lawlor, 90 of Naugatuck, passed away Tuesday morning July 21, 2015 at his home.

Mr. Lawlor was born in Naugatuck, April 2, 1925 a son of the late John and Mary (Whitelaw) Lawlor and was the last of 13 brothers and sisters. He was a graduate of St. Francis grammar school and Naugatuck High School, and was a retired employee of the Borough of Naugatuck, having been employed at the Naugatuck Treatment Plant for over 14 years, retiring in 1974. He was a communicant of St. Francis of Assisi Church and was a member of the former Naugatuck Volunteer Fire Dept. for over 42 years, retiring as Deputy Chief in 1990.

He is survived by several nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews and several great-great nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his 12 siblings, 7 brothers and 5 sisters.

His funeral will be held on Friday July 24, 2015 at 11 a.m. from the Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Naugatuck, 201 Meadow St. and proceed to St. Francis of Assisi Church, 318 Church St. for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 a.m. Burial will follow in St. James Cemetery, Naugatuck. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday morning from 10 a.m. until the procession leaves for church.
