Theodore Scalzo

CHESHIRE- Theodore V. Scalzo, 66, passed away Wednesday January 11, 2012 at his residence following a brief illness. He was born January 2, 1946 in New Haven, son of the late Lawrence and Mollie (Fasulo) Scalzo.

Ted is survived by his wife of 35 years, Diana Gatti Scalzo and his daughters, Deanna M. Scalzo of Hamden, Kara Woodbury-Smith and her husband Marc, of Dundas, Ontario, Canada, and Amanda Bailey and her husband Andrew, of Milford. He is also survived by his sister Maryann Scalzo of Hamden and his granddaughter Charlotte Mafalda.

Ted grew up in Hamden and attended Quinnipiac University. He enjoyed spending time with his family and travelling. He was a communicant of St. Thomas Beckett Church, where he served as a Minister of the Eucharist and was a member of the Men's Club. Ted was employed at The Hartford Insurance Group for 26 years as a Senior Analyst.

Arrangements- Relatives and friends may call Monday, January 16th from 4 to 8 p.m. at The Alderson Funeral Home of Cheshire, 615 South Main St., 06410. His procession will leave the funeral home on Tuesday, January 17th at 9:15 a.m. for a mass of Christian burial to be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. at St. Thomas Beckett Church, 435 North Brooksvale Road, Cheshire. Interment will follow at All Saints Cemetery, 700 Middletown Ave, North Haven, CT 06473. Donations in Ted's name may be made to Connecticut Hospice, 110 Barnes Road, Wallingford, CT 06492.
