Tammy Ann Nelson

Tammy Ann Nelson, age 48, of Waterbury passed away peacefully on Monday, April 15, 2019 after a long illness at Waterbury Hospital. Tammy was born on January 22, 1971 in Waterbury, daughter of the late Dolores “Dolly” Orsino and Randall C. Nelson.
Tammy will be remembered for her strength and independence. She was a fighter and had a work ethic that was second to none. She was dedicated to her family, especially enjoyed camping with them and was an animal lover. Tammy worked for several retail stores in the Waterbury area as a manager.
Tammy is survived by her cherished son, Leo Medeiros of Waterbury; her devoted fiancé, Michael Jennett of Waterbury; and her step-children, Ashley and Dustin Jennett of Oakville. She also leaves her siblings, Clara Nelson of Cocoa, FL; Shelly Michel and her husband, Richard; Randall Nelson, Jr.; and Daniel Nelson, all of Waterbury; many loving cousins, nieces and nephews; and her beloved cats, Boomer, BooBoo and Midnight.
A Funeral Service for Tammy will be held at the Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Waterbury, 496 Chase Avenue, Waterbury, CT 06704 on Tuesday, April 23, 2019 at 6:30PM. Friends may greet her family at the funeral home on Tuesday from 5PM until her service begins. Burial will be private and at the convenience of her family.
