Susie Sundholm

Susie Sundholm, age 100, of Middlebury entered into rest on Monday, December 16, 2013 at the Mary Wade Home in New Haven. She was the devoted wife of the late Dr. Norman K. Sundholm. Susie was born May 1, 1913 in Wayne City, IL, daughter of the late Charles and Eddie Johnson.

Susie was an alumna of the University of Southern Illinois, where she obtained her Bachelor and Master degrees. She was a public school teacher in Illinois and was a member of the Salem Lutheran Church of Naugatuck.

She is the beloved mother of Stephen Sundholm and his significant other Jackie Dellon of Stratford; loving grandmother of Scott Sundholm of Old Saybrook; Tyra Lohmann of Newtown and Drew Sundholm of West Hartford; and is also survived by her cherished great granddaughter Elin Lohmann. She was predeceased by her son Nelson Sundholm.

A Graveside Service will be held for Susie on Thursday, December 19, 2013 at 11AM at Grove Cemetery in Naugatuck. At the request of the family, memorial contributions may be made to the Salem Lutheran Church, 14 Salem Street, Naugatuck, CT 06770.
